Cedrus Deodara - Seeds and Germination
These seeds have no special problems on its germination.
If we follow few steps, we can have this beautiful plant in 3-4 weeks.
These seeds don't have a hard skin, so they don't need any previous treatment.
But if we want to obtain an homogeneus rate we should put the seeds in a pot with wet soil into the fridge for 1-4 weeks.
The ideal substrate is a mixture of sand and black peat in equal parts.
Mix and water it well. Drain the mixture, pressing to expel all the water.
The soil has to be wet but no waterlogged.

The seeds provably started sprouting in the fridge, so we just have to take out the fridge and keep them wet and watched. It's important to transplant the sprouted plants when they're 2 cm high. They need light and less moisture than seeds.
The seeds may take 3-4 weeks. to germinate under perfect conditions.
For all that time we have to keep constant moisture and temperature.
In order to improve germination, the temperature should be around 15-25ºC.
